Tibialis post: origin, insertion, innervation, function
Origin: post inteross membrane + adj fibula
Insertion: navicular tuberosity + adj medial cuneiform
Innervation: Tibial n.; L4, L5
Function:
- inversion + plantarflexion of foot
- support medial arch @ walking
Popliteus: origin, insertion, innervation, function
Origin: lat. femoral condyle
Insertion: post. prox tibia
Innervation: Tibial n; L4 - S1
Function:
- stabilize knee when tibia wants to rotate lat on femur
- unlock knee by rotating femur laterally
