Why is psychology still relevant today? How has it developed?
Psychology is a flexible discipline but it has fundamental roots. Over-time developments have occurred such as people, our knowledge and discoveries. Psychology doesn’t change its principles but adapts the principles to the current time.
What does the evolution of psychology take into account?
Era which knowledge was fundamental, environment and culture, discoveries that contributed to psychological knowledge and skills
What is a paradigm In psychology and what does the paradigm consist of
Paradigms are various models that created the framework for psychology. Each paradigm consists of basic assumptions and values. Concepts, ideas and contexts are explained in each paradigm.

Plato Influenced Freud heavily. Plato originally was trained in Egypt thus the origins of many Greek myths and mythology was from Egypt. Plato was Influenced by African psychology.

Define the concepts of structuralism and functionalism
Structuralism= determine and study the structure of the conscious mind, its components and how each of the components are related. Functionalism = determine and study the purpose of consciousness, behaviour and how psychology is part of culture.
