Largest part of the conscious mind but also present in the preconscious. The ego balances the Id and the social constraints of society. Also balances the moral code forced by the superego. Works on the reality principle
What is the superego and its function
Consciences part of the person. Use guilt and pride to force a person to act within the social norms and regulations. Superego exits in all 3 levels of awareness.
