What is meant by friction?
A
When going from concept and theory to practice and the real world there can be friction. You might not recognise the concept and some things can be lost in translation.

What is meant by remapping?
A
Concepts are context dependent. They can change because of:
- physical or environmental factors
- social factors
- economic factors
- cultural factors
- political factors

What do friction and remapping mean together?
A
Going from concept to a real place will create friction, so concepts get remapped for that specific place.
Things are laid out in a pattern to better understand what is going on there. The patterns alter the meaning of the concept.
