Lecture 9 - Secretory & Endocytic Pathways Flashcards
1
Q
What is Receptor-mediated endocytosis?
A
where LDL receptor binds to receptor and clathrin coated vesicle is uncoated, which fuses with the endosome. Then is transferred to the lysosome
2
Q
where are early endosomes located?
A
just beneath the plasma membrane
3
Q
what is multivesicular bodies?
A
late endosomes that contain small vesicles with their lumen (vesicles inside vesicles)
