Pathogenesis not established
Breeds- pomeranians, min poodles, chow chow, samoyeds
Clin signs of alopecia x
Bilaterally symmetric alopecia
Head and extremities are spared
Hyperpigmentation
No systemic abnormalities
Derm signs of sertoli cell tumor
Bilateral symmetric alopecia Hyperpigmentation Seborrhea Ceruminous otitis externa Gynecomastia Linear preputial dermatosis
What is miliary dermatitis
Scabby cat disease
Symptom, not diagnoses
Papular seedy eruption
Easier to feel than see
Miliary dermatitis rule outs
Fleas, scabies, allergies, dermatophyte, bacteria
History, skin scraping, fungal culture, response to flea control
Short term palliative treatment for miliary dermatitis
Depo
Prednisolone
What are the manifestions of eosinophilic granuloma complex
Indolent ulcer
Eosinophilic plaque
Collagenolytic granuloma
What is indolent ulcer
Inflammatory ulcer usually on upper lip
Rarely can progress to SCC
Associated with underlying allergy
Describe features of eosinophilic plaque
Well circimscribed red yellow plaque
Very itchy
On groin or medial thigh
Associated with flea allergy
What is collagenolytic granuloam
Linear- raised, caudal aspect of hind legs
Nodular pharyngeal- firm pink
Chin form- fat chin
