3
Q

A
- Grid structure used to map out a space of interest. (It is basically like a table)

4
Q
What is a co-created persona and how is it done?
A
Ask co-designers to think of someone else with aphasia.
Capture key characteristics of their aphasia, tech use, etc
Then, as a group, create fictional personal details.
5
Q
How would you do usability testing for people with aphasia?
A
- Test high-fidelity prototypes, no wireframes, due to challenges with abstraction.
- No task scenarios, no role-play, no thinkalouds
- Ask participants to use systems “for themselves”
Allow Time
6
Q
What techniques would you use when asking questions to people with aphasia?
A
- Include visual prompts
- Present one item at a time
- Do not rely on a correct verbal response - i.e. include yes/no or a scale to point at
- Support with images, gestures
7
Q
How would you feedback after test?
A
- Do it at the computer/device
- Support questionnaires and interviews with concrete images
- Use visual rating scales
- Use specific terms, not the “system” or “the app” as you might find in a typical UX questionnaire
- Check back with participant
8
Q
How would you collect user testing data?
A
Screen capture and video
- Analyse by defining key tasks and scoring success
- Analyse for usability issues
9
Q
How would you co-create personas?
A
- Use SWIM (Someone Who Is not Me), asked co-designers to think of someone else with aphasia.
- Capture key characteristics of their aphasia, tech use etc.
- Then, as a group, create fictional personal details.
