How does depression present differently in women vs. men vs. children?

A

In women, depression effects mood more (crying, staying in bed etc.) Children: clingy Men: short fuse, get angry

What is the difference between active and passive coping strategies?

A

Active coping is actually doing something about depression (get fired, go get a job; break up , but still go out. Passive is when you just ruminate over it. Women tend to have passive coping while men have active.
