What is verification? What is the main problem of verification?
Verification is the process of proving a theory or statement to be true through evidence. The main problem is that no amount of evidence can fully prove a theory, as future discoveries might contradict it.
What is falsification? Why it is the next step for empirical demarcation of science from other forms of knowledge.
Falsification is the idea that scientific theories must be testable and capable of being proven false. It separates science from other knowledge forms by requiring theories to be disprovable, ensuring scientific progress.
Please describe architecture of Panopticon and its role in control of prisoners.
The Panopticon was designed to create constant surveillance, making prisoners feel watched at all times. This was meant to control behavior, enforce discipline, and reduce the need for guards.
Please describe the tools of prisoner’s control inside Panopticon.
The Panopticon is a circular prison with a central observation tower, allowing guards to watch inmates without being seen. This structure ensures prisoners self-regulate their behavior out of fear of being watched.
Please describe what Panopticism is.
Surveillance, isolation, and uncertainty about being watched are the main tools of control. Prisoners adjust their actions because they believe they are always being observed.
Please describe some examples of Panopticism in our life.
Modern examples include security cameras, workplace monitoring, and online tracking. People adjust their behaviour when they know they are being watched, just like prisoners in a Panopticon.
