Known as Argus Panoptes, meaning “all-seeing”, Argus has between 4 and 100 eyes which never all shut at the same time, he is sent by Hera to surveille Io but is decapitated by Hermes

A mythological hero specific to some group

Son of Prometheus, last man left alive after Zeus sends a great flood to punish mortals for their sins

Daughter of Epimetheus, last woman left alive after Zeus sends a great flood to punish mortals for their sins

Son of Io and Zeus, associated with Apis (a sacred bull), his name means “he of the touch”
Hellen
Son of Deucalion and Pyrrha, eponymous ancestor of the Greek people, for the Greeks called themselves “Hellenes” and their country “Hellas”

Brutish servant of Zeus, name means “strength”
Bia
Brutish servant of Zeus, name means “force”
Lycaon
King of Arcadia, doubted Jupiter’s godhood, tried to feed him human meat, turned into a wolf

Formed in the image of a deity
