Q

subsequent bee stings

A

severity depends on relative amounts of r antibodies (IgG’s and IGes)

  • IgG in large amounts quickly bind to von antigens and neutralize
  • reaction decreases with more stings because concentration of IgG increases in blood (IMMUNITY)
  • if IgG’s are low and IgEs are present then mast cells rupture and release histamines = hypersensitivity to bee venom and run occurs
