What is a benign tumour?
A
Slow growing tumours, that retain some differentiation of previous tissue. It is held within a membrane called the capsule. This capsule is laid down by fibroblasts

What are the most common locations of tumour metastasis?
What symptoms are present with these metastases?
A
- Lymph nodes, lymphadenopathy (lymph node swelling)
- Lungs, haemoptysis (coughing blood), cough, dyspnoea (shortness of breath)
- Liver, hepatomegaly, nausea, jaundice
- Bone, bone pain, fracture of affected bones
- Brain, headaches, seizures, vertigo
