What is the history of civil society?
the term was widely used at the end of the 1980s. This is because they overthrew regimes. But it is not only about overthrowing regimes it is about changing systems and standing up for causes.

4. Intergovernmental organisations (countries are members of these types of organisation ex: European Union)

- a web or network of actors are working together to solve a common problem
- it is not people versus government it is interwoven.
