16
Q

which nerve enters have via carpal tunnel and which doesnt

A

median through carpal

ulnar externally

17
Q

artery path

A

subclavian artery to axillary to brachial to ulnar and radial arteries

18
Q

subclavian artery

A

supra scapular artery

19
Q

axillary artery

A

3 branches
1. superior thoracic artery
2. thoracic acromial artery
2. lateral thoracic artery
3. sub scapular artyer
3. anterior circumflex humeral artery
3. posterior circumflex humeral artery

between 1st rib and lower border of teres major and pac major

1st part is for thoracic cavity

2nd part covered by muscles to supply lateral thoracic wall and serrates anterior

3rd part for scapular region- attach to proximal end of humerus

once pass inferior border of teres major or pec change name to brachial artery

20
Q

brachial artery

A

start at lower border of teres major or pec major

  1. deep brachial (profound brachii) artery; move posterior to radial groove
    -accompannies radial nerve
    -supply posterior arm
  2. muscular branches for anterior arm

-passes between ulnar and median nerve in arm
-goes under cubital fossa

21
Q

which arteries are accompanies by a nerve

A

brachial artery- radial nerve

ulnar artery- ulnar nerve

22
Q

arteries of the forearm ulnar and radial

A

-brachial artery divides into 2 at cubital fossa

ulnar artery: lies under flexor carpi ulnas, accompanied by ulnar nerve
-posterior compartment and wrist
-forms palmar arterial arches

radial artery; supplies lateral forearm
-covered by brachioradialis
-passes through anatomical snuff box forms deep palmar arch

23
Q

hand arteries

A

radial artery supplies dorsal hand

radial and ulnar form superficial and deep palmar arterial arch

radial does lateral 1.5 side, ulnar does medial 3.5 side

24
Q

veins

A

dorsal venous network in hand

cephalic vein or radial thumb side

basilic vein on ulnar medial side

median cubital vein at elbow

brachial vein
axillary vein
brachiocephalic veins
subclavian veins
internal and external jugular veins
superior vena cava

25
Q

which side is basilica and cephalic vein on in forearm

A

cephalic vein or radial thumb side

basilic vein on ulnar medial side

26
Q

arm transition areas

A

axilla
cubital fossa
carpal tunnel

27
Q

borders of cubital fossa *muscles

A

medial border: pronator muscle

lateral border: brachioradialis

28
Q

axilla borders

A

anterior wall; pectoral

posterior wall; scapula

medial walll; 4 upper ribs and serrates anterior

lateral wall; humerus

29
Q

contents of axilla

A

axillary artery
axillary vein
infraclavicular part of brachial plexus
axillary lymph nodes
