2nd trimester of pregnancy?
-The woman can feel movement

3rd trimester of pregnancy?
The fetus turns in the uterus to assume a head-down position
-Fat deposits form, rapid growth

Painless tightening of the uterus in preparation

When the fertalized egg implants somewhere other than the uterus
Pseudodocyesis (false pregnancy)?
The woman believes she is pregnant and shows the signs and symptoms of pregnancy without really being pregnant

Contractions very strong, dilation from 8-10cm, increased pain and exhaustion
How long does the 1st stage of labor last?
2 to 24 hours
Second stage of labor?
Cervix is fully dilated, and the baby’s head begins to move into the vagina or birth canal
