Learning Loop QA Delivery Flashcards

1
Q

What is the difference between a trainer and a facilitator?

A

To facilitate means “to make easy”. A facilitator thinks of the best way to create the right environment for the learning to take place. A trainer thinks of the best way of phrasing something. A trainer tells whereas a facilitator asks.

Q

How can design affect a facilitators delivery?

A

If the design is too restrictive, it can mean a facilitator cannot easily flex with the group and also will not be comfortable delivering in someone elses style. A good design gives guidance and key points but some flexibility. Variety prevents the facilitator and the learners from getting bored.
