Learning Definitions Flashcards
Types of Learning:
Associative Learning & Observational Learning
Learning:
A change in behavior due to experience
Associative Learning
A connection between two events
Observational Learning
Watching and imitating one’s behavior
Classical Conditioning:
Learning Process in which two stimuli become associated with one another.
Unlearned part of classical conditioning:
Reflex: automatic, natural, without prior learning.
Unconditioned Stimulus
Elicit a response, creates the response.
Unconditioned Response
An “unconditioned stimulus” US leads to an automatic response.
Acquisition part of classical conditioning:
Repeated paring of a neutral stimulus: (NS) + US -> UR
Learned Part of Classical Conditioning:
-Learning: Association after pairing a stimulus.
-Conditioned Stimulus
-Conditioned Response
