Leader still makes all decisions but is concerned about the welfare of employees.

What is a democratic leadership?
Leaders encourage employees to have a say in decision making.
- Persuasive: Leader has already made decision but convinces employees to agree its the right decision.
- Consultive: Asking employees their views and opinions before making a decision.

What is a Laissez faire leadership?
A hands off approach where leaders provide resources for employees to make decisions.
- Requires highly skilled, motivated and trustworthy employees.
- Most risky if employees can’t make good decisions.
