Why use validated outcome measures?
Gives us statistically validated measure of the patient’s subjective state
What outcome measure is this?
- used to measure pt’s permanent functional disability
- Domains: pain, personal care, lifting, walking, sitting, etc.
- 6-point ordinal scale (0-5)
- Total max point is 50 (higher score = more disability)
