LBP Flashcards
validated CPRs for diagnosing LS stenosis
age >60 duration of symptoms over 6 mo decrease in symptoms with flex or ext increase in symptoms while standing up intermittent claudication symptoms urinary incontinence abnormal achilles reflex
young insidious onset agg/ease: flex activities, change in position FABER, FADIR, resisted SLR AP and lat imaging
femoral acetabular impingement
young insidious, traumatic onset agg/ease: mechanical sx with activity FABER, FADIR, scour/quadrant MRI
labral tear
adolescent insidious onset pain with activities, knee pain limited and painful ROM, limping gait MRI
Leff-Calve-Perthes disease
young
trauma, repetitive WBing
pain worse with activity and extremes of motion
pain with active SLR, log roll test, hopping
X-ray, MRI
Stress fx
pre-adolescent, adolescent insidious onset pain with WBing activities limited IR, LLD, circumduction with gait X-ray
slipped capital femoral epiphysis
young adult, insidious onset overuse pain with ext and palpation mechanical symptoms with ext US
iliopsoas bursitis (internal snapping hip)
active adult, insidious onset, pain with flex
findings of tendionopathy, decrease post glide, monitor greater trochanter position during active SLR and hip ext, dominant ham, flexibility of ITB
treatment: increase post glide, avoid hip ext, modify sports activities, muscle imbalance of glut vs ham
Femoral ant glide syndrome
key signs of hip pathology
groin pain
decreased hip internal rotation
decrease hip strength
gait deficits
