This appellation surrounds the shores of Lake Bolsena.
The wines are based on Trebbiano Toscana (50-65%) Trebbiano Giallo (25-60%) and Malvasia Bianca Lunga and/or Malvasia del Lazio (10-20%).
The wines can be designated as Classico if produced from the historic winegrowing area surrounding the villages of Montefiascone and Bolsena and adhere to higher production standards.
