Kinetic energy at the bottom = gpe at the top
A projectile is throw into the air, energy starts as kinetic
Then it gradually transfers to gravitational as it reaches the top
How is energy transferred when a machine carries an object up a flight of stairs
The work done by the machine must equal the gpe at the top

How is energy transferred when pulling back a sling shot
Work is done to pull back the slingshot
Then when the object fires the work done is transferred to elastic Potential which is transferred to kinetic energy
