What does Laura Mulvey (1975) talk about?
The male gaze: audience members are put into the perspective of a heterosexual man. She talked about how scenes focus on the curves of a woman putting you in the viewing eyes of the male. The male gaze denies women of identity, relegating them to simple objects of male pleasure. Mulvey says that women view women through the eyes of the heterosexual male too.
How does Laura Mulvey’s Male gaze (1975) relate to ideology?
The male gaze leads to hegemonic ideologies within our society. Demonstrating the ideological ideas on women’s place within society. Mulvey argued we live in a patriarchal society, with men making the rules etc.

What is a postmodern representation of hyper reality?
The representation of reality in the media is distorted and we begin to copy these versions of reality and representing hyper reality as reality and thus being influenced by a fake constructed representation of reality The actual reality has been lost, and what we see on television becomes real and copy it in within lives.
