Name some Autopilot Limitations
1) During use the PF must be seated at the controls with safety and shoulder strap fastened.
2) The Autopilot must not be manually over powered
3) Approved for glideslope angles from 2.5-4 degrees.
4) Glideslope angles of greater than 3 degrees are only permitted at flap 15
5) Cannot use autopilot in APP mode with F35
6) Must be disengaged in severe icing conditions
7) Minimum height for engagement is 1,000ft
If a sustained ID802 message of ‘Mistrim’ appears what must be done?
The Autopilot must be disengaged and not reingaged if erratic flight manoeuvres occur.
