ANSWER: a workplace environment where a group of people are using occupational restricted language to communicate with one another (language that makes sense in that situation or work place that wouldn’t make sense else where)
what is meant by the term “inference”?
ANSWER: Using assumed knowledge to determine meaning
can you explain the meaning of inference in a sentence?
ANSWER: for example if you are starting a new job In a profession you previously worked in, having inference would help assimilate yourself better into this new environment as you have previous knowledge and skills that translate over to your new job (like bartending for example)
What is meant by the term “inferential framework”?
ANSWER: knowledge built up over time and used in order to understand meanings that are implicit (implicit meaning:not directly said, but hinted)
what is meant by the term “phatic”?
ANSWER: having a conversation that does not include occupational language or devoid of a occupational related conversation
