ANSWER: Identifying an item as different from the norm

ANSWER: a word before a noun that distinguishes it as something else, and alludes to the idea that there are different types of them, (for example: a ‘family man’, the word ‘family’ modifies the noun ‘man’ to suggests there are different types of men who don’t do this)
