Q

What is the purpose of the Landing Gear Transfer Valve? Which fluid is used to operate the gear?

A

Supply the volume of hydraulic fluid needed to raise the landing gear at the normal rate when Hydraulic System A engine-driven pump volume is lost due to the No. 1 N2 Speed dropping below 50% RPM. / Uses system B fluid.

Q

What does pulling a Manual Gear Extension Handle do?

A

Release the respective landing gear mechanical uplock, allowing the gear to free-fall, using gravity and air loads, to the down and locked position.

14
Q

What effect does thrust reverser and spoiler deployment have on the autobraking rate?

A

Does not affect the deceleration rate. Will reduce the amount the brakes have to work to maintain that deceleration rate.

15
Q

How is the Autobrake System disarmed after braking begins?

A

AUTO BRAKE select switch to the OFF position, apply manual braking, one thrust lever advanced out of the idle position after the aircraft is on the ground for more that 3 seconds, Speed Brake Lever movement from the UP position to the DOWN position, fault in the normal Antiskid System, fault in the Autobrake System, or input from one ADIRU is invalid.

16
Q

How do you set the PARKING BRAKE?

A

Simultaneously depressing both brake pedals, the Parking Brake Lever is pulled up and aft from the down position.

17
Q

In flight, how will a PSEU-detected fault be indicated?

A

It won’t.

18
Q

How is the Brake Accumulator pressurized?

A

Pressurized by Hydraulic System B.
