Air Systems Flashcards
What does the BLEED TRIP OFF (amber) light indicate?
indicates that Bleed Trip Sensors have automatically closed the Engine Bleed Air Valve for excessively high engine bleed air temperature or high pressure.
The TRIP RESET switch resets which lights?
Reset the bleed trip condition or reset conditions resulting in a ZONE TEMP or PACK lights illuminating.
What precautions apply with the APU Bleed Valve when an Engine Bleed Valve is open?
Thrust must be limited to idle with open APU bleed valve.
How does the ISOLATION VALVE operate with its switch in AUTO?
Assuming both bleed air switches are on and both pack switches are in auto or high; positioning any switch to off will open the isolation valve.
When does the DUAL BLEED (amber) light illuminate?
APU bleed valve open and engine #1 bleed valve on or engine #2 bleed valve on and isolation valve open.
How do the Recirculation Fan(s) operate with both RECIRC FAN switches in AUTO, and both PACK switches in AUTO?
Both Fans On.
What does illumination of a ZONE TEMP (amber) lights indicate?
Indicates a supply duct overheat.
Packs produce air temperature to satisfy which zone?
Both packs are controlled to provide the pack outlet temperature that matches the zone with the lowest setting
What is the purpose of the Overboard Exhaust Valve (OEV)?
Controls the quantity of equipment cooling exhaust air flowing overboard and has a smoke removal mode
What two warnings use the same aural tone (intermittent horn) when activated?
The Cabin Altitude and Takeoff Configuration warnings
What causes the AUTO FAIL light to illuminate?
- loss of DC power
- controller fault
- Outflow Valve control fault
- excessive differential pressure
- excessive rate of cabin pressure change
- high cabin altitude
