What happens with an alternate gear extension?

A

DC ESS bus 3 powers the electric motor actuators to release the unlocks and allows free- fall of the gear.

What is the alternate extension dormancy check?

A

After each 550 flt hours the system will do an alt ext to test circuitry. An ALTN GEAR DN advisory msg will display and when gear down and locked system goes back to normal ops.

A
  • gear not down and locked
  • rad alt less then 1000agl

A
  1. Anti-Skid - 204kts-10ths
  2. Retraction braking - braking signal to all wheels for 5 seconds
  3. Touchdown protection- prevents brake aviation in flight
  4. Locked wheel protection - releasing brake of locked wheel when detected
  5. Derogation - limits braking force until nose wheel touchdown
