What is the bushfire acronym LACES?

A

L - Lookouts for risks on the fireground
A - Awareness of fire behaviour and location
C – Communications with everyone on the fireground. Follow comms plan.
E – Escape routes if possible, two or more
S – Safety zones should be identified and made known to FF’s on scene.

Example: Firefighters must always remember the acronym LACES during bushfire operations.
