and

Extensor Pollicis Brevis

A

This is your anatomical snuff box

Brevis - outside

Longus - inside

41
Q

Temporal Bone

A

this is not where you think it is - basically think of your ear and this is the superior part that surrounds it - Mastoid process is on the temporal bone

42
Q

Fibular head

A

The lateral / outside of the knee

43
Q

Sacral Foramina

A

Top of Sacrum is medial to the two PSIS

working slowly it’s possible to feel the small indentations of the sacral formina

44
Q

Iliotibial band

A

Runs along the lateral side of the leg - likely tight tendon, running all the way to it’s connection at the small Tensor Fascia Latae muscle at the iliac crest

If can’t find it, abduct and medially rotate the flexed hip.

45
Q

Tibial tuberosity

A

Boney landmark at the anterior, proximal of tibia (just below patella)

46
Q

Temporalmandibular Joint

A

TMJ - Just anterior to the earflap

47
Q

Sternocleidomastoid

A

Muscle that goes from the sternum/clavicle to the mastoid process

48
Q

Xiphoid Process

A

Sits at the bottom of the sternum between the ribs.

49
Q

ASIS

A

Anterior Superior Iliac Spine

Aka the hip bone that protudes

50
Q

Sphenoid bone

A

Mostly in the head, but accessible just to the side of the eye and above the Zygomatic bone

(this isn’t the temple - that’s actually further back than I thought)

51
Q

Angle of mandible

A

The bottom angle of the jaw

52
Q

Rectus Femoris

A

The large center muscle of the Quadriceps running from the AIIS to the Tibial tuberosity

53
Q

Peroneus Longus

A

Peroneals are also know as “fibularis” — so it starts at the head of the FIBULA and runs laterally all the way under the foot connecting to the base of the 1st metatarsal

and are responsible for everting and plantar flexion (pointing)

54
Q

Patellar Ligament

A

Soft part between the patella and the tibial tuberosity

55
Q

Olecranon Process

A

Bony part of the elbow

56
Q

Jugular Notch

A

On the Superior part of the Manubrium

(Center of upper chest)

57
Q

Flexor Carpi Ulnaris

A

This one is the pinky side flexor tendon and just runs from the flexor tendon to the Pisiform

58
Q

Lateral and Medial epicondyle of humerus

A

Lateral, thumb side

Medial, pinky side

59
Q

Sternoclavicular Joint

A

Where the sternum and clavicle meet

60
Q

Semitendinosus

&

Semimembranosus

A

Medial hamstrings running from ischial tuberosity posteriorly to the medial side of the tibia (tendinosus at the PAT)

Tendinosus is superficial to the membranosus

61
Q

Brachioradialis

A

Pronation and Supination assist

Mostly it is the “hammering” muscle, responsible for elbow flexion

Lateral “supracondylar ridge of humerus” to the styloid process of the Radius.

This is the muscle on me that is always tender

62
Q

Glute Maxiumus

A

Posterior, largest most superficial musclearcoss the entire edge of sacrum, iliac crest to the IT tract and gluteal tuberosity of the Femur

63
Q

Sartorius

A

Originates at the ASIS and goes all the way to the pes anserine tendon on the medial shaft of the Tibia

Forms an important border to the Femoral triangle, with the adductor longus and Inguinal ligament - where the femoral artery, nerve, veins etc are.

Longest muscle in the body

64
Q

Extensor Digitorum

A

REMEMBER IF THERE IS NO BREVIS OR LONGUS THIS IS IN THE ARM NOT THE LEG.

Meaty muscle on the top of the arm (posterior) with visible tendons on the top of the hand.

65

Sharp boney crest along the anterior tibia - tibialis anterior

66

72
Q

Head of the Ulna

Not where you think it is (that’s the olecranon process)

The head is on the pinky side, there are two bony marks, the more proximal is the head of the ulna, the other is the styloid proces of the ulna

73
Q

Styloid process of radius and Ulna

A

Wrist - but don’t get the ulna confused for the head of the ulna which is more proximal

The Radius has only one that you feel (and the head is on the proximal side, not confusing at all!)
