Lab 2 Test Flashcards
Describe the anatomical position
Standing Erect
- Eyes, palms, and feet forward
Describe the midline reference point in the anatomical position
Reference point line down the center of the body
Describe the 1st plane that represents the body’s ability to move in three-dimensional space
Frontal Plane
- Plane that bisects you into front anterior back posterior halves (side to side movement)
Describe the 2nd plane that represents the body’s ability to move in three-dimensional space
Sagittal Plane
- Plane that bisects you into equal left and right halves (front to back movement)
Describe the 3rd plane that represents the body’s ability to move in three-dimensional space
Transverse Plane
- Plane that bisects you into top superior between inferior halves
Describe the axis of a plane
Line perpendicular to the plane allowing it to rotate (1 axis per each plane)
What is Anterior-Posterior Axis’ plane?
