Q

What is the null and alternative hypotheses for the kruskal wallis test?

A

H0: All the medians of the underlying populations are the same
H1: eg Not all the medians of the underlying populations are the same. OR the medians of at least two of the underlying populations are different.

Q

If we find a statistically significant result from the kruskal wallis test, what do we do?

A

Perform post hoc analysis:

  • conduct pairwise comparisons using Wilcoxon rank sum test and use bonferroni adjustment
  • adjusted alpha = alpha/no of pairwise comparisons

Q

What is the null and alternative hypothesis for the wilcoxon signed-rank test?

A
