Level of measurements:
A
- Nominal - data can be categorised but not ordered. The relevant statistic is frequency
- Ordinal - data can be categorised and ranked but the differences between data cannot be measured. Relevant statistic is frequency
- Interval - data can be categorized, ranked, and have equal intervals between data points. relevant statistic is mean
- Ratio - data can be categorized, ranked, have equal intervals, and true zero points. a true zero means there is an absence of the variable of interest

- raw frequency - the total occurences of events
- relative frequency - occurences of the event / total events
- mode - the event that occurs the most
