Ask each pilot to determine the fuel required to divert from destination to the alternate (use KV Release)
See Alternate fuel
Need to land with reserve
What release information is available to help determine fuel required to the destination alternate?
ALT fuel on release
This is the fuel burn from destination airport tot the alternate airport
What altitude do you fly to the destination alternates?
See flight release from planned altitude to alt
What is accounted for in the alternate fuel number on the release?
Alternate burn + Go around fuel
Have the pilot talk you through a fuel plan for enroute diversion to unplanned alternate. They could use the FMS, flip cards, dispatch or any combination
Message Dispatch
Pick Diversion Airport: Preplanned / Along route / Dispatch ideas
Check Weather: METAR / TAF / Ask ATC for NOTAM
Check Distance: FMS Fix Page / EFB rings
Check Fuel Burn: Unplanned diversion chart or FMS Fix Page
Slow to VMRC speed to reduce fuel burn
