Key Performance indicator
specific criteria used to measures the effectiveness and efficiency of business performance
- used to judge whether or not business is meeting its objectives
Percentage of market share
the business share of the total industry sales for a particular GS, expressed as a %
Net Profit Figures
the measurments of company profits once opertating costs, taxes interest and deprication have all been deducted from its total revenue
Rate of productivity growth
the change in productivity in one year compared to the previous year
PRODUCTIVITY: indicates how many inputs it takes to produce an output (GS)
Number of sales
measures the amount of GS (products) sole–> could be in $$ figure or number of units
Rate of staff absenteeism
the number of workers who do not turn up to work when they are schduled to do so.
level of staff turnover
the number/rate of employees who are LEAVING the business over a specififc period of time and needs to be replaced by new employees
Level of wastage
the amount of unwanted or unused matertals created by the production process of a business
Can be measured through:
- Number of defects
-Total number amount of waste
-Waste per unit of outputs
Number of customer complaints
the number of customers expressing their dissadisfaction with the business, in wither spocken or written form.
Number of workplace accidents
indicates how safe the workpace is for employees
website hits
refers to how many customers or potential customer visit the webpage
–> Business scan therefore track how many of the ‘hits’ result in a purchase.
