How is the Church conciliar?
A
- Councils sometimes held to make important decisions and update Church teachings.
- Councils express the voice of the whole church.
- Helps the Pope discuss difficult issues with the Church

How is the Church pontifical?
A
- the Pope is the leader of the Church : highest authority
- Authority passed down over generations from Peter (leader of the apostles chosen by Jesus) to Pope.
- Pope is representative of Christ on earth.

- Church believes God loves all people.
- Church recognises the importance of helping support the weakest and poorest members of society.

- Offer support to people who are vulnerable
- Run bigger projects to help locals : run summer camps or provide food for homeless.

- Priest serves others
- Priests take a promise of obedience to their bishop

- Parents teach kids kingdom of God values to spread kingdom of God on earth

- Vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.
- Live simple lives dedicated to prayer and serving others.
