what is the management of ruptured ACL

A

Conservative
 Rest
 Physio to strengthen quads and hamstrings

Surgical
 Gold-standard is autograft repair
 Usually semitendinosus ± gracilis (can use patella
tendon)
 Tendon threaded through heads of tibia and femur and
held using screws.
