Managers
If a manager is not convinced by the change, they can act to seriously inhabit the chances of it’s success by negatively influencing employees.
Employees:
Can resist change due to fear of the unknown.
Time:
Businesses that have not planned change in their industry may find it difficult to respond quickly to change.
Organizational Inertia:
The tendency for a mature business to continue on it’s well entrenched way therefore resisting change.
Legislation:
If a law is unexpected, it can sometimes make it hard for a business to change in the way they want it to as it may be expensive or difficult.
Financial considerations:
When businesses look to introduce change, it can come with significant financial costs, therefore if a business can not afford these financial costs, the business is placed under high financial stress.
