Kiosk, King's Lynn Flashcards
1
Q
What happened in the late Kiosk offer letting?
A
- I invited best and final bids for a kiosk after receiving significant interest and subsequently agreed a letting.
- Someone (was not even part of the tender process), came into the office and mentioned he would pay more if we decided to let the property to him.
- I passed the offer on to my client and advised they should refused the offer because they have an obligation to uphold the highest standards as a public sector body and as per the RICS Ethical Standards.
2
Q
Could you have accepted the offer?
A
Yes, but it would have been unethical to do so.
3
Q
Why would it have been unethical?
A
Because the parties were given a deadline to respond to, and it would not have been seen as ‘trustworthy’ if the landlord accepted offers after this date.
