What happened at 1-2 Southgates?
A
- Client took back possession of the premises due to the tenant doing a runner.
- Met the locksmith on site to change the locks and undertook an external and internal inspection of the building.
- Internally the property was destroyed and it had appeared as if the tenant had done a runner very quickly. I also noted that there was part of the building I could not obtain access to because it had been blocked off.
- We obtained access through another door which led to the part that had been blocked off. On entering the property, there were the remains of cannabis plants, fans, ducting.

Why did you suspect Money laundering?
A
- Used the property for a criminal nature
- Signs in the building to say they accepted payment of cash for memberships
- Letters in the building addressed to different companies.

A
If found guilty of Money Laundering - up to 14 years in prison and or an unlimited fine.
