Elijah rebukes Ahaziah- why do you have to ask other Gods.

Description of Elijah. That is how Ahaziah knew it was Elijah that the people saw and heard the message from.

King of Moab sacrifices his son so he can succeed in battle. It works!

The son that Elisha helped this women concieve becomes sick and dies. She is angry that it seems like Elisha deceived her. Elisha prayed to God and brought him back to life.

At siege of Samaria the captain doubts elisha’s prophecy that there will be food tommorow.

And when he was come in, he did eat and drink; and he said: ‘Look now after this cursed woman, and bury her; for she is a king’s daughter.’

And they went to bury her; but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying: ‘The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying: Give thy daughter to my son to wife; and there passed by the wild beasts that were in Lebanon, and trod down the thistle.

Amaziah king of Judah just won against the Edomites and now he tries to incite with Northern Kingdom. King Jehoash tells him this parable but he doesn’t listen.

Kings 2 20:1

1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him: ‘Thus saith the LORD: Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.’

Issiah tells Hezekiah he will die. Hezekiah prays to God and is healed.

And the king sent, and they gathered unto him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem

And the king went up to the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great; and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD.

וְאֶת-חוֹמֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַם, סָבִיב–נָתְצוּ כָּל-חֵיל כַּשְׂדִּים, אֲשֶׁר רַב-טַבָּחִים.

Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem.

And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great man’s house, burnt he with fire.

And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
