Poor farmer that messenger of God comes to to tell him he has been chosen to save Israel. He breaks down the alter of baal and defeats the midianites.

Manoah and Manoah’s wife
parents of samson. Angel visits wife and tells her she will have son. Husband wants to angel. Husband then thinks they are going to die- but obviously not because God just promised them a child

MIchah’s preist and the tribe of Dan
When Dan was searching for a new territory they passed through Ephraim and took Michah’s priest to be priest over all of Dan rather than just one man.

concubine that was rapped and killed when she was in Givah (Benjaminite). The husband cut her up and sent her to all the tribes so show what they had done. All Israel had was against Benjamin and then oathed not to give daugters to them. They had to take wives by force in the vinyards at SHilo instead.

Judges 4:22
And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him: ‘Come, and I will show thee the man whom thou seekest.’ And he came unto her; and, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent-pin was in his temples.
Yael says to Barak after she kills Sisera.
מַיִם שָׁאַל, חָלָב נָתָנָה
Judges 5:27
Water he asked, milk she gave him
Yael gave Sisera milk. She seduces him and kills.
בֵּין רַגְלֶיהָ, כָּרַע נָפָל,
Judges 5:27
at her feet he sunk, he fell
Sisera dying. Feet is euphemism

Judges 9:8

Parable given to Avimelech after he killed all the people to become king

Samsons riddle to the Phillistines
לוּלֵא חֲרַשְׁתֶּם בְּעֶגְלָתִי, לֹא מְצָאתֶם חִידָתִי
Judges 14:18
If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
Samson telling them that they cheated by asking his wife.
-בִּלְחִי הַחֲמוֹר, חֲמוֹר חֲמֹרָתָיִם; בִּלְחִי הַחֲמוֹר, הִכֵּיתִי אֶלֶף אִישׁ
Judges 15:16
And Samson said: With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jawbone of an ass have I smitten a thousand men.
Samson goes to meet his wife but finds out her father gave her to someone else. Samson burns up a bunch of philistine fields, they campture him and then Samson kills them with a jaw of a donkey. Samson says this after he kills lot of men
פְּלִשְׁתִּים עָלֶיךָ שִׁמְשׁוֹן
Judges 16:9
The Philistines are upon thee, Samson
When Delilah tries to trick Samson into telling her his secret to strength. She does what he says and then tells him this line- but he keeps breaking free anyway.
וְאִנָּקְמָה נְקַם-אַחַת מִשְּׁתֵי עֵינַי, מִפְּלִשְׁתִּים
Judges 16:28
And Samson called unto the LORD, and said: ‘O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray Thee, and strengthen me, I pray Thee, only this once, O God, that I may be this once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.’
Samson praying for some strength to kill everyone in the Temple after his is captured and blinded.
תָּמוֹת נַפְשִׁי עִם-פְּלִשְׁתִּים
Judges 16:30
And Samson said: ‘Let me die with the Philistines.
Samson says this right before he brings down the philistine temple to kill himself and everyone in it.
וְהִנֵּה אַנְשֵׁי הָעִיר אַנְשֵׁי בְנֵי-בְלִיַּעַל נָסַבּוּ אֶת-הַבַּיִת
Judges 19:22
the men of the city, certain base fellows, beset the house round about, beating at the door;
The men of Givah are really bad because they want to rape the guest of the town. Shows they are like Sodom
בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם, אֵין מֶלֶךְ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל: אִישׁ הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו, יַעֲשֶׂה.
Judges 21:25
In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which was right in his own eyes
The time of the Judges was not always so good because they didn’t have stead leadership. Leads into Samuel and the desire for a king.
