Engine fire on the ground
Condition lever — fuel cutoff
Firewall fuel valve — close
Starter switch — starter only
Fire extinguisher — actuate ( if fire warn persists)
Engine fail/fire in flight
Condition lever — fuel cutoff
Prop lever — feather
Firewall fuel valve — close
Fire extinguisher — actuate ( if fire warn persists)
Emer engine shut down on the ground
Condition levers --- fuel cutoff Prop levers --- feather Firewall fuel valves --- close Master switch --- gang bar off Battery bus --- emerg off
Engine fail during takeoff below V1 take off aborted
Power levers — ground fine
Brakes — maximum
Don’t use reverse with single engine
Engine fail at or above V1 takeoff continued
Vr --- rotate to aprox 10 degrees Gear --- up with positive rate Airspeed --- V2 until 400 AGL Inop prop --- verify feathered Do not retard inop power lever until auto feather has completely stopped prop rotation of failed engine.
Engine fail in flight below Vmca
Power — reduce to maintain control
Nose — lower to accelerate above Vmca
Electrical fire or smoke
Environmental system smoke or fumes
O2 mask — don
Mask selector switch — emerg position
Headset — don or speaker system on
Mic switch — O2 mask
Air stairs door unlocked
All occupants — seated with seat let’s securely fastened
Emergency descent
Power levers --- idle Prop levers --- full forward Flaps (202 kts) --- approach Gear (184 kts) --- down Airspeed --- 184 max
Glide (dual engine fail)
Gear — up
Flaps — up
Props — feathered
Airspeed — 135 kts
Single inverter failure
AC bus circuit breakers --- check If breaker not tripped: Failed inverter --- select bus transfer If breaker is tripped: Circuit breaker --- reset
Dual inverter failure
Attitude/heading control — use backup instruments
AC bus circuit breakers — reset if tripped
Dual generator fail
Instrument emer lights --- on if required Generators --- reset then on If either resets: Op gen load --- monitor If neither resets: Non-essential equipment --- off
Unscheduled electric pitch trim activation
Airplane attitude — maintain with elevator
AP/Trim disconnect — depress fully
Unscheduled rudder boost activation
AP/Trim disconnect — depress to 1st level and hold
Rudder boost — off
If condition persists:
Rudder boost cb — pull
