Class Osteichthyes = bony fish ( gold fish, trout)
Class amphibia = frogs, salamanders
Class reptilia = snakes, lizards, turtle, crocodiles
Class aves = birds
Class Mammalia = mammals
Animals are often subdivided into two categories:
Invertebrates- animals without a backbone
Vertebrates- animals with a back bone
Cell specialization: division of labor
Animals have many cells that’s are specialized for specific tasks. Each cell is usually suited for a specific task. When groups of cells work to carry out different take, we call this division of labour

Feeding
All animals must feed. They can be herbivore( plant eating), carnivores ( animal eating), parasites( live off others), filter feeders ( straining food from water) or detritus feeders ( eat decaying material)
Respiration
Living cells consume oxygen and give off carbon dioxide.animals must respire in order to survive
