BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen)
Increases: Decreased Kidney Function, Dehydration, Heart Disease, Shock, or Urinary Obstruction.
(Can spike in High Protein diets)
Decreases: Overhydration.
CREA (Creatine)
Increases: Decreased Kidney Function, Dehydration, Heart Disease, Shock or Urinary Obstruction.
Decrease: Overhydration.
PHOS (Phosphorus)
Increases: kidney disease, Increased intaking through GI tract, Increased released from injured tissue. A higher level of Phosphorus can be normal in growing puppies and kittens.
Decrease: low amounts intake through GI tract.
CA+ (Calcium)
Increases: Kidney disease, Cancer, certain toxins, and parathyroid diseases.
Decreases: Maybe seen in some parathyroid diseases, with low Albumin.
