Biodegradable
Describes a substance that can be broken down into smaller parts by the activities of living organisms and not likely to remain in the environment.
Biogas
Is a gas that is produced by the action of bacteria on organic material such as corn or wheat.
Carbon footprint
Measures all of the carbon dioxide produced during the manufacture of a product.
Environmental impact
Is the assessment of any factor that may upset or disrupt the ecological balance of the environment.
Methane
Is a greenhouse gas produced when organic material such as food water breaks down.
Sustainability
Refers to the impact of our actions on the environment by being able to reduce the amount of resources we use and the wage and emissions we produce.
