God is everywhere at once.

The divine presence or God’s presence on earth.
Temple
A place devoted to the worship of a God or Gods.
Judge
A public officer who decides cases in a law court.
Orthodox Jew
A Jew who follows the principles and practices of modern Judaism.
Heaven
Is where people go to when they die and go to live with God.
Sheol
New word for Hades (Greek underworld).
Messiah
The future leader of the Jews.
Messianic age
A future time of global peace.
Promised land
The land of Canaan, that was promised to Abraham and his descendants.
Covenant
Soleman promise or agreement between the Jews and God.
Abraham
The first Jew and to teach that there is only one God.
Moses
A prophet who became a religious leader and lawgiver.
Sinai covenant
A covenant from the bible between God and the Israelites.
Circumcision
Removal of the foreskin or prepuce of the male genital organ, whether for religious reasons. Assign of seeing the covenant.
Ten Commandments
Are laws or rules handed down to Moses by God on Mount Sinai.
e.g. “Worship no other God but me”
“Do not steal”
“Do not commit adultery”
Justice
Is a behaviour or treatment.
Healing the world
To stop all wars with countries as Jesus teaches everyone to have peace with each other.
Kindness to others
The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.
Charity
Is an organization set up to provide help and raise money for those in need.
Sanctity of life.
In religion sanctity of life is a principle of protection regarding aspects of sentient life which is to be holy, sacred, or that is is not to be violated at any time.
Pikuach Nefesh
Is the obligation to save a life, even by breaking the law.
Free will
God allows Jews to make choices on how they live their life.
This came from Adam and Eve’s disobedience.
Using free will in the wrong way e.g. Murder, lying, stealing.
At judgement day, the consequences are severe.
Ultra Orthodox Jew
Jews wo do not follow their strict religious laws.
Mitzvot: Between man and God
Is when obeying them helps Jews bond with God. It makes it impossible to disobey God if you follow them.

Teaches us that the relationship between a parent and a child is like the relationship between Jews and God.

Jesus’ teachings which give Christians a set of rules and values for life

That which has been passed down, things that have value because they have stood the test of time

A belief that goes against the teaching of the Church

The teaching authority of the Catholic Church exercised by Popes and Bishops
Salvation
Freedom from sin and eternal separation from God due to sin

Shared love of the Father, and the Son in the Holy Spirit

A letter from the Pope encouraging Catholics in their religion

The writers of the Gospels (Matthew,Mark, Luke and John)
Son of Man
A title Jesus gave to himself which emphasises his humanity

The Jewish council that looked after Jewish life and religion in Jesus’ time
