The meaning of the Incarnation

A
  1. Being made flesh
  2. Jesus was fully human and fully God
  3. Jesus experienced life good and bad (born, grew up, felt hunger, fear, loss, learned, suffered,died)

4.God loves humans so much that he was willing to share in humanity
fully

  1. God knows the difficulties and the stresses of being human (he can empathise with us and our struggles). God can feel our point of view, has an understanding of what we go through
  2. God’s understanding helps Christians to value his love. Christians feel when they are suffering, they don’t feel alone because God has felt these, and Christians feel supported

  1. Mary was a virgin
  2. An angel announced the birth
  3. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit
  4. God worked through human beings to enable his plan for humanity because of Adam and Eve’s sins. Relationship between God and humans was broken. God used Jesus to save it
