Role of Back Desk during an emergency?
> A liaison point of comms between DCHQ & the aft damage control teams.
They allow the MAN. Room to maximise propulsion without relaying DC reports, which may deter them from task
Role of Support Party during an Emergency?
> Supply Attack Party with firefighting equipment to maintain the fight.
Control of the Aqueous Film Forming Foam spill pick - up
Maintain AFFF level in containers
Changing Empty BA bottles & transiting to the charging station
Available spare / extra manpower if required
Man smoke boundaries
Report to the APL
Role of APL during an Emergency?
> Take Charge of Incident
Carry out DC action (Isolations of air hydraulics, advising DCHQ of actions taken
Ensure firefighting effort is Aggressive & Continuous
Keeps DCHQ informed of the severity & location of fire
Order use of fixed fire fighting systems
Advise DCHQ when it’s safe to ventilate
Local or remote isolations may be required from other areas of the SM.
Eatablish comms with DCHQ / Support party/ BA Controller
